Postgraduates, it's time to have your say through one of the national surveys

How to log in to #HaveYourSay

Your voice matters.

After the launch of our undergraduate surveys, it’s now time for Postgraduates to have their say.

All eligible taught and research postgraduates will have the opportunity to make their voices heard in ONE of the national surveys, either the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) or the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES). This is your chance to tell us about your experience at University and help shape the future of UoB.

Both surveys are independently run, and therefore, confidential.

Which survey can I complete and how?

If you’re a Postgraduate Taught (PGT) student, you can complete the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES). Look out for an email to your student inbox inviting you to take part in completing the survey. You’ll also receive an email this week from a JISC address with a personalised link to the survey or you can log in using this link.

Postgraduate Researchers (PGR) can complete the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES). If you’re eligible to take part, check your student inbox for an invitation to take the survey. You’ll also receive an email this week from a JISC address with a personalised link to the survey or or log in using this link.

If you’re unsure about what type of postgraduate you are, find out on our ‘What is a PGR and PGT’ page on the Student Intranet.

While these surveys are not compulsory, this is a great opportunity for you to share feedback on what it has been like to study on your chosen programme at UoB. You can help us to understand what you most value and enjoy about your University experience and tell us what you recommend should be improved. Closing date for both surveys is Monday 15 May 2023.

We want you to share your views and honest feedback to get the best out of your University experience, so you’ll be hearing from us and the University Graduate School through our student communications channels, including email, e-newsletters such as The Brum Bulletin, MyUoB App, Canvas, and our socials.

During the next few weeks, your School and Department will also be in touch to encourage you to take this opportunity to have your say.

So, if you’re on campus on Wednesday 15 March 2023, pop along to the Main Library Atrium between 12PM – 4PM to grab one of our survey freebies. You can even complete a survey while you’re there!
