Could you be the next face of the University?

You may have spotted our content shapers all over the University’s social media accounts, some of you might even be friends with one. But now it’s your chance to apply to join the team. 

In its fifth year of running, the Student Content Shaper programme is run by the Student Communications Team at the University and shapes what university communications looks like each year. 

Not sure if it's for you? There is more information about the programme, our expectations and the opportunities available to you on our intranet pages. The key points being: 

• Casual student work contract through worklink 
• Collaborate directly with the student communications team 
• Paid for the content you produce 
• Create content for a range of channels, from the latest Tiktok trends to insightful Youtube interviews with teams across the University 
• Shape student campaigns at the University 

Applications are now open to join our newest cohort and close on the 27 September. So, head to the Worklink page to apply. 

The application process 

Application portal opens today (1 September). 

Closes at midnight on 27 September. 

Current UoB students are eligible to apply – unless you are graduating this December as your assignment will end after this graduation date so you will not be eligible for the programme and cannot complete your assignment. 

Applications will be shortlisted in the first week of October. 

Interviews will take place over a few days from 8 October. 

First assignment will start on 20 October.
