Service disruption continues at University station

Following damage caused by Storm Darragh over the weekend, no trains are currently running through University station due to a fallen tree on the tracks. This includes CrossCountry and West Midlands Railway services.

The line is likely to reopen around mid-day, but service disruption is expected until the end of the day. As well as the individual operator websites, you can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner for the most up to date information.

Replacement buses and ticket acceptance on National Express West Midlands buses will be in place. However, please be advised that replacement buses and traffic to campus may be busier than usual, and you should allow extra time for your journey.

You may also wish to use the Transport for West Midlands journey planner to see what other transport routes may be available for your journey.

Our Sustainable Travel page also has some helpful advice on alternative ways to get to campus.
