Looking forward to the Summer Term (already!?)

In response to student feedback, we are making some exciting changes to the summer term. There is a new programme of learning and development activities for all students to enhance your knowledge and skills, and help you reach your goals as a continuing student or as a graduate.

After the summer assessment period the summer term continues until Friday 21 June (for undergraduates), and we are already busy working on a timetable of subject-related sessions that we expect everyone to take advantage of and benefit from. Continuing students will be able to access skills and academic sessions to help them prepare for the transition to the next level of study and all students will be able to access interdisciplinary learning activities that will help you to be successful and stand out as a graduate of University of Birmingham.

At the same time we will be launching our UoB Xtra programme of events, challenges, and opportunities from Monday 3 – Friday 21 June 2024.

Do you want to…

enhance your CV?

During UoB Xtra, we’ll have free training opportunities, such as Mental Health First Aid, so you can add a new qualification to your portfolio.

meet new people?

There will be events aimed at bringing you together to learn more about each other.

look after your mind and body?

From sports sessions, free live music, catch up with friends and take it easy. You deserve it!

make a difference?

Or, if you’re interested in making an impact; why not try out volunteering? We’ll have lots of opportunities for you to get involved in a cause you care about.

Whatever your interests are, we’ve got you covered, you’re bound to find something at UoB Xtra in Summer Term.  Feeling excited? So are we!

For more info, keep an eye out on your student comms channels, including ways that you can contribute to running an activity during UoB Xtra.
