New Year, New Study Space
Over the Christmas vacation Library Services have been busy preparing a new study in Aston Webb. See what the space has to offer this semester!
Following your feedback, we are increasing the number of study spaces across campus. The newest addition is LG04 in the Aston Webb building, just across the courtyard from the Aston Webb study space under the Student Hub and under the Great Hall. To get to it take the staircase in the corridor either side of Aston Webb reception or enter the corridor from the courtyard area at the back of C block and the Great Hall on the campus map.
Open 8am-8pm (Monday-Friday), the room is bright and spacious, with 33 study spaces, all with power and Wi-Fi. Library Services would like your feedback on the space and how best it can be used.
There are already lots of study spaces around campus and the ones listed on the Study Spaces pages are open to all students. The JG Smith building (behind Muirhead Tower) has 180 spaces desk spaces across two floors. It is open from 8am-8pm - just remember your ID card to access it in the evenings.
Need a quiet space to get some serious revision done? The Aston Webb C Block study zone, below the Student Hub, and Gisbert Kapp have specific quiet rooms. You could also try one of the smaller, quieter libraries, including the Barber Fine Art library (inside the Barber Institute), the Barnes Library in the Medical School, or the Orchard Learning Resource Centre in Selly Oak.
We are continuing to improve your student experience based on your feedback. Together we’re Making it Happen!
