UoBe Ready: Supporting you this assessment season

The next assessment season takes place in January and whatever your programme of study, it will involve some form of assessment, such as exams, essays/coursework, reports, presentations, in-class tests, performances, and many others. Whether these are your first assignments at university, or you are working through your final year, assessments can often be nerve-wracking. We are here to help and support you to shine and showcase your skills.

When is the assessment period?

The Semester One assessment period for centrally-organised exams will be taking place between Saturday 7 January to Saturday 21 January 2023, this may include Saturdays but excludes Sundays.

Assessment Support Week

To help you prepare the Library are offering workshops and practical advice during Assessment Support Week (12-16 December). A mix of in person and online, with recording available afterwards, the Academic Skills Centre led sessions can help with topics such as:

  • Managing your time
  • Exploring critical analysis
  • Referencing
  • Revision planning

Study Spaces

Can you eat your lunch? Does it have power sockets for your laptop? Is it a quiet zone? There is a lot to think about when finding a study space to suit you on campus, our Study Spaces intranet pages have details of many of the main locations on campus.

Are you anxious about assessment season? This time of year can be daunting but whatever you're facing, don't bottle it up. If it's time to talk, we're here for you. Our trained and friendly Wellbeing Officers, and 24/7 support line UBHeard offer a range of free and confidential services for all students.
