Join us from Tuesday 10 June to Wednesday 18 June 2025 for our Green Course. Made for cycling beginners, this introductory course will teach you how to ride a bike with confidence.
The course comprises four two-hour sessions and is open to University students and staff. We'll provide bikes for all participants, but feel free to bring your own.
The first three sessions will teach how to pedal and glide (learn to ride); the final session progresses to learning the correct techniques for braking, signalling, and using gears (basic skills).
The aim is to help you master bike handling in an off-road, supportive, and enclosed environment and to prepare you for cycling on the road.
Session 1: Tuesday 10 June, 5pm – 7pm
Session 2: Wednesday 11 June, 5pm – 7pm
Session 3: Tuesday 17 June, 5pm – 7pm
Session 4: Wednesday 18 June, 5pm – 7pm
The course costs £8 for students and £16 for staff. There will be a maximum capacity of six people to ensure you get the expert guidance and support you need.
