The Student Experience Projects Team (SEPT) aims to continuously improve the student experience, enabling our students to make the most out of their time at the University. We deliver regular activity as well as undertaking commissioned projects. Our work involves liaison and collaboration with other Professional Services, academic schools, and the Guild of Students.
Our annual activity
There are a number of activities our team co-ordinates and delivers on an annual basis:
Welcome
Student events
- We maintain the What's on for students page to share events and activities for our student community.
- We support the developing programme of annual student events, including Countdown to Christmas, exam season, and enrichment activity. Previous activity have included UoBe Festival, a week-long programme of extracurricular opportunities, and Spring into Summer, which was designed to support students returning to campus following Covid-19 lockdowns.
Our 'other' Student Experience projects
The team also supports time-limited projects relating to student experience. This has included providing a student experience focus in the project to move the Right to Study process online, supporting the implementation of Report + Support, a project sharing the experiences of first generation students, or activity for the King's Coronation.
We also provide ad-hoc input and guidance across a range of areas, with a focus on ensuring a student-centric approach.
Our staff
We are a small team of five who work with many other colleagues and departments to deliver our projects. We have a breadth of experience on managing many different types of projects, events and activities. Please get in touch if you would like our help or advice.
