Education Support Office (ESO)

This is the office responsible for your academic programme so contact them about things related to your course such as your timetable, canvas modules, lectures/teaching sessions.

Student Experience Officers

Your Student Experience Officers are here to work in partnership with students to empower you to get involved, achieve your goals and grow at university. Contact us if you are facing any barriers to your learning, have an idea for how we can improve your experience or if you’re not sure who to contact, we will help.

Wellbeing Officers

Our Wellbeing Officers support you  by offering support, advice and guidance on a wide range of topics related to personal wellbeing and academic circumstances – such as if you get sick and need an extension to an assignment or you need support with your mental health.

Personal Academic Tutor

You can go to your PAT to discuss your academic progress and development - such as what your assessment feedback means and how to improve.

You will be assigned a Personal Academic Tutor at the beginning of your programme, please contact your ESO if you don’t know who they are.

Module Tutor/Leader

This is the person that leads your individual modules, contact them if you have questions about the content of your programme or specific feedback you have received.

Each Module Tutor/Leader’s Office Hours (time where you are encouraged to see them) will be listed on the module’s Canvas page.

International Student Team

The International Student Team provide support and advice for prospective and current international students. Contact them about immigration, visas, and how to adapt to life at Birmingham.

The CoSS Careers Network is here to help you with everything employability related, from development workshops and events to personal CV and interview support.

BBS Careers (Business School students)

Birmingham Business School Careers is here specifically for BBS students and offer specialised knowledge and support around careers in business.

Student Living

Student Living is UoB’s accommodation service who can help you with university accommodation or general questions about accommodation.

Student Hub

The Student Hub is a general helpdesk for students, contact them for things like ID cards, proof of registration and other documents and general administration.

Student Fees

This office is responsible for all student fees, contact them if you are having difficulties making payment for your tuition fees or have a question about fees.
