Findit@bham service launches

Library Services is pleased to announce the launch of a new service called FindIt@Bham which provides integrated access to a wealth of printed and electronic library collections using a single search box.

The new service replaces both the eLibrary and Library Catalogue and allows users to search and discover print and audiovisual material, e-journals, e-books and databases, as well as journal article level content. It also includes content from the University’s research repository, UBIRA.

FindIt@Bham is available at http://findit.bham.ac.uk and is also available as an embedded search within the Library Services site, and the University Portal (Library tab of my.bham). The old eLibrary service and Library Catalogue are still available for 2012/13 but the new service will provide access to more content and use of FindIt@Bham is recommended.

All new students will receive training on FindIt@Bham in library inductions. If you would like any further information, please contact the Subject Advisor for your subject area. There is also a ‘Tell Us What You Think’ link on the search page for feedback to the project team.
