Calling all enthusiastic photographers

Do you love taking photos on your smartphone? Then come along to the University of Birmingham’s first ever Instameet in association with IGersBirmingham - the official Instagram account of Birmingham on Saturday 8 August.

What’s an Instameet?

Basically a group of people meet up at a pre-determined location to take photos of the surrounding area and upload to Instagram and it usually ends with a well-earned drink allowing you to mingle and show off your photos!

What’s so special about this Instameet?

It will be hosted on the iconic University of Birmingham campus and we all know how stunning the grounds are! So just imagine having a few hours dedicated to taking some great photos of the campus and not having to worry about rushing off to a meeting or back to your desk. We have a great route planned out for the Instameet but if you prefer to wonder and explore at your own pace please feel free to.

We will be meeting at Old Joe at 11.00am on Saturday 8 August and the Instameet will last approximately two hours.
