Wellbeing Wednesday - 22 October 2026
The nights will be getting longer with the end of British Summer Time this weekend. Remember to set your clocks back one hour after you've enjoyed the extra time in bed on Sunday morning. If that's not enough time travel for you, this (slightly delayed) Wellbeing Wednesday is coming to you on a Thursday, to help you stay safe and secure on campus:
- Community Safety and Security Team
- SafeZone app
- Selly Express Shuttle
- Avoiding Online Scams
- Report and Support
Community Safety and Security Team
Your Community Safety Team is here to support you on campus, offering advice, safety resources, and crime prevention support. They also work in partnership with the West Midlands Police, including a dedicated on-campus police officer.
University Security Services are available 24/7, 365 days a year, offering first aid and quick response support. If you need help on campus, we’re here to support you. Find urgent support.
SafeZone App
Have you downloaded the SafeZone app? It connects you to campus security or first responders for quick assistance. Off campus, it uses your GPS location and prompts you to call 999 in an emergency. Stay safe with instant support wherever you are. Download the app.
Selly Express Shuttle
Walking from campus to Selly Oak? The free Selly Express shuttle bus runs Monday - Friday evenings from campus to Selly Oak. Show your student ID (no ticket needed) and let the driver know where to drop you off. Get all the info.
Avoiding Online Scams
Online scams, like phishing emails and fake websites, trick you into sharing personal information or money. Always verify sources, avoid suspicious links, and never share passwords or financial details. Check out these tips to protect yourself online.
Report and Support
If you have been subjected to any form of harmful behaviour, we’re here to support you. You can access confidential support from our specialist team at Report + Support.
