Roderick Keefe

Quaker Chaplain

I'm Rod (Roderick) Keefe, the Quaker Chaplain at the University of Birmingham.
I've been a Quaker for over 25 years and enjoy being part of the Multifaith Chaplaincy, working alongside colleagues from a range of faith traditions. Quakers seek to see "that of God" in everyone, and we value respect, openness, and listening.

One Quaker expression is to "loiter with intent", taking time to get to know people and listen to what matters to them. I'm very approachable and always have a listening ear, whether you'd like to talk about university life, faith, wellbeing, or any issues and concerns you may have.

I support a range of University and chaplaincy events, including meditation groups, wellbeing activities, remembrance services, and other community events. Please do email or come and say hello. I'm always happy to meet over a cup of tea or coffee.
