What are the Commonwealth Games?

The Commonwealth Games is an international sporting event uniting nations and territories from across the world every 4 years and Birmingham has been selected as the host of the next Games, which will be held from 28 July to 8 August 2022.

What is the Volunteering Programme?

It is estimated that the Games will need more than 12,500 volunteers to come together to help organise, run and manage the event. From skilled roles in technology, sport and medical areas, to the thousands of roles that are needed that require no formal training. This programme can be a great way to develop skills and experiences that will be invaluable for your future career.

To find out more about the games and the Volunteer programme, visit the University’s dedicated webpage, where you can also see lots more information about the scheme, as well as a detailed Q&A.
