Introductory Statement
Jon holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Lancaster and an MBA in Higher Education Management from the University of London.
Before joining the University of Birmingham in 2018, Jon spent much of his career working in other UK University settings and within the Students’ Union movement. Most recently Jon spent ten years at the University of Wolverhampton as Dean of Students.
As Director of Student Affairs at the University of Birmingham, Jon is responsible for the leadership and development of Student Services, working with colleagues across the University and with the Guild of Students to continuously improve the student experience.
