Three Minute Thesis 2017 applications now open

Applications for the 2017 Birmingham 3MT are now open until Monday 8 May 2017.

3MT was founded by the University of Queensland in 2008, and the University Graduate School would like to invite students to apply for this year's competition. Heats will be taking place on 24 & 25 May, and the final will take place during the week commencing 5 June 2017.  The winner of the Birmingham competition will go forward to the UK-wide 3MT semi-final, and to compete for one of six places in the UK final at the Vitae Annual Conference on 11 September 2017.

3MT is all about effectively communicating the originality and importance of your research in three minutes to an intelligent but non-expert lay audience. It is an excellent opportunity to develop presentation skills, as you will receive expert training in May to help you polish your presentation for the heat event and the 3MT final.
