2013 ECR workshop

Nominations have now opened for the 2013 ECR workshop. The theme for the workshop will be Innovative Technologies: From Research to Impact on Society’ which will run from the 2–3 December 2013, hosted by Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Santa Fé, Mexico City.

The key objective of this workshop is to increase ECRs research capabilities and develop skills associated with career development in academia. The workshop will also have a strong focus on networking and gaining an international perspective on the role and career route of researchers.

It is expected that each institution will conduct an internal selection process to identify the most appropriate candidates for attendance. Early career academics are welcome to join from Information Technologies, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Material Science, Biotechnology, Energy, amongst others.

This year there will be an increase in guaranteed and reserve places to allow for more delegates. Each university may nominate seven early career researchers: three guaranteed and four reserve nominees (who will be offered a place at a later date if spaces are available). The deadline for the Secretariat to receive nominations is Friday 18 October 2013.
