Project Brief

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) published advice for all higher education providers in the UK to help them comply with consumer law when dealing with students. A staff training course was required to ensure colleagues remain compliant and informed on CMA policy.

Solution

A Canvas course was built using the Shape, Build, Run Design Process. This 30-minute course provides all of the essential information in a variety of formats, including animations and podcasts, allowing for a more engaging experience and increased retention.

A number of volunteers across External Relations provided voiceovers for the various learning materials throughout the course, such as the whiteboard animations. Additionally, Creative Media provided face-to-camera videos with Alaric Rae to introduce the course content.

This collaborative effort allowed us to produce a high-quality training course that forms part of the induction for relevant colleagues across the institution.
