The University of Birmingham's AHRC Impact Acceleration Account supports impact and knowledge exchange activities across all Arts and Humanities disciplines.
The AHRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) will run from 2022 until 31 March 2025 and is designed to strengthen and widen user engagement with the University's arts and humanities research, support innovative and experimental knowledge exchange, and create opportunities for academics looking to expand their impact and engagement activity.
The AHRC Impact Acceleration Account welcomes applications from all academic staff at the University of Birmingham whose work falls within the arts and humanities remit and we encourage applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds, experiences, and career stages to apply for IAA funding. We recognise that diversity and inclusivity amongst applicants will enrich the impact and knowledge exchange activities funded through the IAA and we are committed to a flexible and inclusive approach to the management and allocation of the University’s AHRC IAA funding.
Funding Schemes
Funding is available to academic staff in all Colleges whose work falls within the arts and humanities remit and applicants do not need to have previously held AHRC funding to be eligible. Interdisciplinary projects with a major arts and humanitites component are also welcome. We will accept applications for funding across regular funding rounds throughout the duration IAA, details of which are provided alongside our funding scheme information.

- Mentoring Impact Fund
- User Engagement Fund
- Follow-on Fund
- Secondment Fund
- Urgency Fund
