The bigknit Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal – Total Raised £258.67

Our bigknit team have been overwhelmed by the level of donations made during our Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.  We knitted, crocheted and crafted poppies which you brought and helped raise an amazing £258.67.

To Tamara for the idea, everyone who made poppies, those who purchased poppies and to our reception staff for selling them – THANK YOU.

We’re now working on our own knitting projects, so look out for newly made hats, mittens and scarves being worn as winter really kicks in, and if you happen to be friends with someone in the bigknit team expect something knitted for Christmas!  Anyone is welcome to join our group, and we have widened our circle outside of the Business School, it offers an opportunity to get to know colleagues, learn a new skill, and work on your knitting project.  If anyone is interested in joining our group please contact Margaret Jelleyman (m.h.jelleyman@bham.ac.uk) to receive details of times/dates.
