Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS) Distinguished Visiting Fellow Dr Caroline Essers hosted by the Birmingham Business School
CREME are excited to announce that Dr. Caroline Essers will visit Birmingham during May and June, as an Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS) Distinguished Visiting Fellow, and will be hosted by Professor Monder Ram OBE, of CREME at the Business School.
Dr Essers is Assistant Professor of Strategic Human Resource Management at the Radboud University Nijmegen, Faculty of Management and Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at VU University Amsterdam.
Caroline’s research focuses on the social dynamics of entrepreneurship, such as the identity constructions of female migrant entrepreneurs and their networking. She uses diverse perspectives in her research on entrepreneurship, such as postcolonial feminist theory and social constructivist approaches like the narrative/life-story approach.
Dr Essers will contribute to a wide range of activities during her stay at the Birmingham Business School, such as giving various presentations, participate in mentoring sessions and participate in several collaborative project proposals and writing initiatives between colleagues at BBS and Radboud Neijmegen.
