Cultural Intern Scheme - Birmingham Opera Company

Applications are currentlyopen for a six-month placement at Birmingham Opera Company, aleading organisation which specialises in innovative and avant-gardeproductions of the operatic repertoire, often in unusual venues, as part of theUniversity of Birmingham’s Cultural Intern Scheme.

The Cultural Intern Scheme offerssuccessful applicants a six-month paid work based placement; offering realopportunities to gain high quality work experience, undertaking meaningfulprojects at leading cultural organisations in the West Midlands region.

The paid placement is a full-timeopportunity which will run from January to June 2014, with University ofBirmingham campus-based training taking place before and during the internship.

This scheme is open toUniversity of Birmingham students who have graduated this year and alumni whograduated during or since 2010. You will have a first class Honours degree ofMasters degree (please note, applications from students with a 2:1 will beconsidered). You will also have volunteering experience within the arts orcultural sector, strong communication skills and an ambition to kick start yourcareer in the cultural sector.
