Mad Science Summer Holiday Scheme

A brand new summer holiday scheme, to be held at the University, is now open for bookings.  Run by Mad Science, the scheme will run from 20 July until 28 August 2015, for children aged 5 - 11 years, taking place at Infusion, on the Vale Village.

The holiday scheme will run every day during the school holidays from 9.30am until 3.00pm; with an option for early drop off (from 8.30am) and later collection (until 4.30pm) for those who need it. The cost is £30 per child per day, with parents asked to supply a packed lunch and drinks for each day, plus sun cream and sun hats.

Children of staff and students at the University will be offered places first. Siblings of those children at the University’s day nurseries are also welcome. Bookings should be made early to avoid disappointment.

Children can participate in some totally cool science activities with certified Mad Scientists, including having fun with physics and witnessing cool chemical reactions. All staff on the scheme are DBS checked, with appropriate training to take care of the children. The scheme is backed by NASA and operates all over the country.

Each day will offer a different theme, so those children who attend for more than a few days will not get bored! Bookings can be made for as little as one day or every day of the scheme.
