Notification of disruptive work

Severn Trent Water are repairing a water leak (not on a University pipe) outside West Gate/University Station, and due to the complex infrastructure in the area this work will take longer than planned.

It is expected that these works will continue for the next few days with traffic control in place and bus stops being closed. 

Unfortunately it has not been possible to provide temporary bus stops. Staff and students are advised to use alternatives, for example outside/opposite the NHS Blood and Transplant Building.

Severn Trent apologises for the resulting inconvenience and will be providing updates to the Estates Office.  These will be communicated when there is greater clarity regarding timescales.

UPDATE: As of the evening of 4 November, Severn Trent Water have informed us that work has now been completed and the traffic management has been removed. All should now be back to normal.
