Clearing 2016 – Call for volunteers
Last year we ran a very successful Clearing operation where additional quality students were recruited to the University on A level results day. We are planning another large scale operation this year and we need enthusiastic volunteers to help us!
We primarily need colleagues to assist with answering phone calls from potential students seeking a place in Clearing - volunteers will receive full training so all colleagues are welcome regardless of background and experience.
We will need volunteers to assist on results day itself, Thursday 18 August 2016, as well as be able to attend a training session in late July/early August (multiple dates will be available) and a briefing session on the afternoon of Wednesday 17 August. Please note that phone lines open at 8am on results day so colleagues will normally be required to start from 7.30am and it is expected that we will fill our places by early afternoon.
It is a great opportunity to get a taste of Admissions and make a real contribution to such an important activity for the University:
