Ever thought about becoming a registered nurse?

We have 30 fully funded nursing degree places to start in June 2017

This exciting opportunity, which is open to staff,  has been offered to us by Health Education England, to provide 30 fully funded places on our Undergraduate BNurs Nursing degree (Adult Field), starting in June 2017. Places will be available only for applicants who are, or will be, in receipt of their entry qualifications by the course start date of 26th June 2017.

From September 2017, funded places will no longer exist so this is a great last minute chance to make that career move without the need to pay tuition fees.

Our Nursing degree is 3 years full time and taught in the School of Nursing, which is situated in the Birmingham Medical School. You will have access to an experienced and supportive academic team, experience inter-professional learning alongside pharmacy, medicine, dentistry and physiotherapy students and have access to outstanding resources in a research intensive university.

Fifty per cent of the course is based in nursing practice. Placement opportunities will begin early on in the course with the majority being delivered by our world leading NHS partner, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, which is right on our doorstep.

Places on the course are available for those considered as having home fee status  and who are, or will be, in receipt of their entry qualifications by the course start date of 26th June 2017 (typical offer is BBB at A Level or minimum 2:2 at degree level in any subject). Further entry requirements can be found on our web site www.birmingham.ac.uk/funded-nursing.

Want to find out more?  Visit our open days on Saturday 29th April (3pm- 5pm), Tuesday 2nd  May (10am – 12noon) and Friday 5th May 2017 (5.30pm – 7.30pm) at the Medical School where you can talk to current students, speak to staff and find out more about this unique opportunity.

If you’re ready to apply, download the application form from our website www.birmingham.ac.uk/funded-nursing and return it as soon as possible and before the deadline of Friday 19th May 2017.  All applicants who meet the requirements for the course will be invited for interview between 22nd May and 2nd June 2017.
