Alumni Impact Fund

Looking for funding for your idea?

You could access a share of £140,000 to help make your idea a reality with the Alumni Impact Fund.

Thanks to the generosity of alumni, staff, students and friends of the University, £140,000 in funding is now available for innovative projects that will have an immediate impact on teaching, learning, student experience and academic endeavour.

The Development and Alumni Relations Office has distributed almost £2 million since 2002 to a wide range of extraordinary projects through this Fund. This year we invite you to bid for £500-£5,000 for your innovative project. Whether you are academic, support, technician or Professional Services staff we want to help make your idea a reality.

Applications are now open and you have until 12 noon in Friday 1 December 2017 to submit your bid. Apply online at www.birmingham.ac.uk/aif.

Information clinics will be held offering you the opportunity to discuss any ideas you have for bids. These will be on:

• Thursday 9 November, 11:30am-12:30pm, UG10 Murray Learning Centre

• Thursday 23 November, 1:30-2:30pm, LG14 Murray Learning Centre

Here we will provide more information on the procedure of the Alumni Impact Fund, talk you through the application form and answer any questions you may have.

For more information, if you have any questions or would like support with your application, please contact Becky Mitchell, Head of Volunteering (DARO) R.Mitchell.1@bham.ac.uk.
