You may already have seen that a new identity is being rolled out at University of Birmingham.

Helping to distinguish and differentiate the University, the new identity will be visible across campus and online for the new academic year.

You can find out more at the Identity Launch Roadshow on Tuesday 12 September taking place on the grass behind Staff House from 09:00 to 15:00

Why are we doing this?

The new identity has been created in consultation with staff, students and stakeholders.

It will provide a clear, compelling, and consistent voice and look for the University and will underpin the ambition in our 2030 Strategic Framework to be a Global Top 50 institution.

It embodies the University’s historic past, while embracing the future with ‘lines of intent’ embedded into the design system.

What does this mean for you?

The identity rollout is University wide and will apply to all our marketing and communications so will affect everyone – from signage, stationary and products to web pages and newsletters as just a small example.

More than just a logo or a colour palette, the University’s reputation and identity is about our people, our purpose and values and the quality of the work we do.
