Tram works to affect travel to campus and the city
If you’re a regular tram-trotter or planning to hop on the Metro during the Easter break, there will be a brief disruption affecting journeys.
Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) is connecting the existing Metro line to new tracks leading to Dudley. Dudley Street Guns Village tram stop will also be getting a facelift with the re-construction of a bridge.
The work has been scheduled during the Easter school holidays to minimise disruption for commuters. As a result, you'll need to find alternative travel if you wish to use the tram during this period.
We have the closure dates detailed below. You can see all the changes and alternative travel options on the TfWM site.
Saturday 23 March and Monday 25 March
Tuesday 26 March to Tuesday 9 April
Thursday 11 April to Friday 3 May (Sunday to Thursday only)
Saturday 4 May to Sunday 5 May (May Bank Holiday weekend)
Monday 6 May 2024 onwards
