Half of the IBSA Games sports will be taking place at the University of Birmingham, using our world class sports facilities.
We will be hosting five of the ten sports:
Cricket, Powerlifting, Goalball, Tennis and Ten Pin Bowling will take place at venues across the West Midlands.

Exhibition Village
This will offer spectators an opportunity to browse the stands of organisations and companies involved in research or providing services to blind and VI people. Next to the area, will be a ‘Have a go’ zone for different sports during the Games.
“Have a go” Activation Area
Fun opportunities for everyone – students, staff, families, and members of the public - to try different sports will be set out in Chancellor’s Court.
Athletes' Village

We are proud to provide IBSA’s first Games village - a base where up to 1,947 competitors can stay, socialise and dine during the Games, and make memories to last a lifetime.
The Athletes' Village will be based at the Vale, in Shackleton, Mason, Chamberlain and Elgar Court, just as it was at the hugely successful Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
- Bedrooms are single occupancy and ensuite.
- Olympic-style restaurant serving tasty, nutritious meals from 06:00 – 22:00
- The Games Village is a 20-minute walk to main UoB sports venues
Athletes are being encouraged to walk about campus. Shuttle buses will be provided between the Athletes’ Village and competition venues for accredited individuals
