If you want to declare that fixing a particular accessibility issue is a disproportionate burden, you’re legally required to carry out an assessment.
Your assessment must include:
- the benefits of making those things accessible
- the burden that making those things accessible places on your organisation
You also need to think about:
- the size and resources available to the University
- the nature of the University (e.g. do we provide services aimed at people who are likely to have a disability?)
- the cost of making something accessible and the impact that would have
- how much users with a disability would benefit from you making things accessible
