From July to September, Libraries and Learning Resources will trial a new service aimed at easing the administrative burden on researchers when depositing new research outputs in Pure.
During this pilot phase, we kindly ask that colleagues from Life and Environmental Sciences (LES) notify us of newly accepted publications and, where relevant, submit the accepted manuscript via a simple web form instead of logging into Pure. We will then take care of the rest and ensure the outputs are recorded in Pure in compliance with the Research Excellence Framework (REF) policy and our Research Publications Policy so they appear on your Research Portal profile.
The aim of the pilot phase with LES is to:
- Seek feedback on whether this approach simplifies the process of depositing your research outputs
- Understand any further improvements we could make
- Refine our local processes to ensure we can implement the service for all researchers
If you would like to continue depositing outputs directly into Pure, that option remains available to all.
Instructions
If you have a significant number of outputs to deposit all at once (for example, if you are new to the University and have an extensive collection of past work you would like to add to Pure), please contact the Repository Collections Specialist team, and we will be happy to assist you.
Feedback
During the pilot, once you have completed the deposit form, you will be asked to take part in an optional short survey; please provide any feedback you have there. You are also welcome to contact the Repository Collections Specialist team if you have any questions.
