Open Access Wednesday Drop-in

Every Wednesday, from 15:00 to 16:00 (excluding closed days and public holidays), a friendly member of the Open Access team will be available online to chat about Open Access publishing. Feel free to ask any questions directly to our team member—there are no silly questions here! A university Zoom account is required.

You may be able to publish Open Access (OA) with no article processing charges (APCs) through our publisher agreements and memberships, as the fees are covered by terms and conditions. These agreements include many leading commercial and society publishers and are typically available to both funded and unfunded staff and student authors.

  • Use our search tool to check if a particular journal is covered and follow the link under 'Who Pays' to view eligibility criteria and procedures.

Subscribe to Open agreements by publisher

Subscribe to Open (S2O) is a model for converting subscription journals to open access, through existing subscription payments with no additional APC charges levied. The University has signed up to a number of S2O agreements, as listed below.
