The Library's Mediated Deposit service aims to reduce the administrative burden of depositing new research outputs in Pure.
Rather than logging in to Pure, you can tell us about new publications via a simple web form. We will then take care of the rest and ensure the outputs are added to Pure in compliance with the REF and our Research Publications Policy (Word - 96KB). They will also appear on your Research Portal profile.
Should you prefer to continue depositing outputs directly into Pure, that option remains available to everyone.
Instructions
- You can use the form to deposit any type of research output that would normally be deposited in Pure.
- For journal articles and conference papers, please ensure you have a copy of the Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM) or have confirmed that the output will be published Open Access, before completing the form.
- The form is designed to minimise data entry and should be self-explanatory, but please contact the Scholarly Communications Services team if you have any queries or feedback.
If you have a large number of outputs to deposit in one go (for example, if you are new to the University and have a substantial body of past work you would like to add to Pure), please contact the Scholarly Communications Services team and we will advise.
