The Deloitte Consultancy Challenge

A HEFi Digital Project

The Deloitte Consultancy Challenge offers a unique experience to MBA students at Birmingham Business School. Originally conceived by Jane Lodge, a former Deloitte partner and long-term Advisory Board member, the week-long programme provides an excellent opportunity for MBA students to gain valuable experience in consulting and operating at Board level.

The programme, which is organised by the School’s Corporate Relations Manager Andrew Miles, runs each year in the second semester. Senior members of Deloitte’s Public Sector Advisory team (headed up by Senior Partner, Gus Miah) deliver specialist consultancy training at the Business School and interact with students through simulated Board sessions, client briefings and solutions-based presentations.

The end of the week culminated in a series of presentations given by the MBA students to a combination of Business School Advisory Board members and Deloitte professionals, which this year included Chris Loughran, Vice Chair of Deloitte UK. Not only did this give the MBA students an unprecedented networking opportunity and the opportunity to learn from the top. It also demonstrates the significance Deloitte attaches to their programme and their confidence in the Birmingham MBA.

Canvas New Quizzes

New Quizzes - Some users may encounter an issue with where New Quizzes images are stored for some previously created New Quizzes.

This issue may be noticed when viewing a Quiz either as a Teacher or a Student, with an image within a question not loading for the user. Either the image or media content may not have the correct permissions for a student to view or access it, or the URL to this file may otherwise be broken when it may not reside in this specific Canvas course.

Each question with an image or media file for rolled-over or otherwise imported New Quizzes will need to be checked, and if this issue is spotted, have its media re-uploaded at this point in time within the Canvas RCE so as to avoid past issues with Instructure’s differing media storage approaches.

New Quizzes created from scratch will not face this issue.
