HEFi fly to Dubai
Over the last two weeks members of the HEFi team have been working on the Dubai campus, supporting the professional development of staff who teach and support learning. As the Dubai campus starts to grow this has provided valuable opportunities to promote new connections and networks across the Edgbaston and Dubai campuses. The team joined the UoB Dubai Strategy Day and ran workshops; including on Generative AI, programme approaches to assessment, active learning, block teaching, digital skills, personal academic tutoring and more! There was also an opportunity to celebrate the completion of the first Education Enhancement Fund project in Dubai, which had a focus on developing student communities of practice and was launched to staff and students during Welcome.
In between the more formal sessions we had the opportunity to have informal conversations with academic and professional services staff from across the campus.Despite the blistering heat (which was over 40 degrees on some days!) it was a productive visit which received really positive feedback from staff in Dubai.
