HEFi in the Spotlight - Ruskin Land Virtual Tour

Over recent years, members of the HEFi Digital LES team have supported the Birmingham Institute of Forest Research (BIFOR) in the development of a virtual tour for the BIFOR FACE facility. Created by assembling 360 images using the online platform ThingLink, the virtual tour enables viewers to explore the site and learn about the research conducted there. The tour is used in many different ways for educational purposes and also as part of BIFOR’s active outreach programme which engages with schools and the public. You can see an early version of the Ruskin Land virtual tour.

Additional funding has been secured by EDACS to enhance the resource and develop additional educational resources. This will be supported by colleagues in HEFi, and we update on progress later in the year.

The Higher Education Futures Institute have created a library of self-paced guidance on teaching and learning, and digital tools such as Canvas and Panopto. Please take some time to explore all the resources we have to offer.
