EEF achievements and impact

EEF Project Lead

“It is rare to have opportunities for cross-college collaboration on education, and our EEF funding has enabled us to go through the unique process of gaining perspectives from other disciplines, developing stronger links and potential teaching activities with them.”

The fund inspires colleagues to think creatively about learning and teaching, and enables grant holders to develop their practice in a way that complements Birmingham’s commitment to research intensive teaching. Those who have been involved in EEF projects tell us that it has fostered collaboration across disciplines and allowed for meaningful engagement with students.

We invite you to take a look at examples of our completed projects and see how the fund has inspired colleagues to think creatively about learning and teaching and producing a legacy of projects where seeds were sown and flourished into the broad landscape of enhancement, innovation and good practice that can be seen across the University today. We are proud of how staff have used funding to develop their practice in ways that complement Birmingham’s commitment to research intensive teaching and to foster collaboration across disciplines to create meaningful engagement with students.
