Looking to take a break, try something new, or get study tips ahead of the Easter vacation? Join us for our third Study Well-Fayre of 2023-2024 on Tuesday 19 March and Thursday 21 March at Main Library, with these scheduled events.

Tuesday 19 March

10:00-12:00: Crochet - Library Lounge

All levels of experience welcome! Join the library team and fellow students to try your hand at a new craft or bring your own project and enjoy a social, mindful session.

13:00-15:00: PAT dogs* - UB Well area, ground floor

Take a moment to relax and pet one of the visiting dogs from Pets as Therapy.

15:00-16:00: Writing Poetry for Wellbeing – Academic Skills Training Room, first floor, Main Library

Writing poetry can help us to reflect on and express how we are feeling and have a positive impact on our wellbeing. In this one-hour session, you will have the opportunity to write a haiku, turn prose into poetry, and consider how you might build a regular poetry-writing habit into your life. Drop-in, no booking required.

A chance to meet with a skills advisor to ask quick questions about academic skills including time management, referencing, planning an assignment, and revision and exam preparation.

*Please remember that the dogs who take part in our event are specially trained to do so. Other dogs on campus may have other roles, for example they may be working assistance dogs. Assistance dogs are working to keep their owner safe, so please give them the space to do their job. Don't pet them or take photos unless their owner has given permission.

This year Pets as Therapy also celebrates its fortieth anniversary. The Cadbury Research Library team have put together a small selection of photographs of pets in the heritage collections.
