Transport services have a fleet of vehicles, and links with local hire companies. Just fill in the vehicle hire form for sport clubs and societies. Clubs and Societies' Hire Form Notice Please give at least 72 hours' notice when you hire a vehicle, as wider supply issues within the industry have reduced availability. For the same reasons, the model supplied may vary. What vehicles are available? - Minibuses (15-17 seats) - Nine-seater people carriers - Long wheelbase and short wheelbase transit vans (for bikes, surfboards and other equipment) - A variety of cars and smaller vehicles Who can drive the vehicle? Drivers of UoB vehicles must: Be over 21 years of age Have held a full driving license for a minimum of two years Undertake training if driving a minibus Comply with the regulations detailed below Minibus training To drive a minibus, you must take extra training. We organise courses every year at the start of the autumn term. Please email p.m.sadler@bham.ac.uk to register members of your club or society. Need a driver? We can provide a driver if you team/society does not have anyone to drive the vehicle. There is an extra charge for clubs and societies using this service.
