Bike Valeting in National Bike Week

It's a double celebration! National Bike Week and Green Week are running from 10 to 14 June. To say thanks to our campus cyclists, we are putting on a free valet service, and other events on Tuesday 11 and Thursday 13 June. Spaces are limited so read on to find out how to take part:

- FREE valet service to include a bike check, and clean and relubrication of the drivetrain and key components. 

- Mechanic's masterclass on simple adjsutments and maintenance tips.

- FREE security marking of bikes with Bike Register 

How the valeting will work:

• Drop by the Gear Up cycle repair hub in Staff House Square on  Tuesday 11 and Thursday 13 June.
• On each day there is a morning session from 8 am-12 noon and afternoon session from 1-4pm
• We'll service 25 bikes per session first come first served. No prior bookings.   
• You must pick up your bike at the end of the session: 12-1pm for the morning slot, 4-5pm for the afternoon slot. We cannot store your bike.
• The valeting includes cleaning, relubrication of the drivetrain, and minor tweaks to brakes and gears
• Major work is not part of the valet service: James and Stewart will recommend if any further servicing or repairs are needed, and these can be booked in for a later date.  
• James or Stewart will hold a mechanic's masterclass on some easy maintenance and adjustment tips at 12.15pm and 4.15pm.
