National Bike Week 2016

National Bike Week 2016 aims to promote cycling for everybody rather than as an elitist sporting activity. Events for this year are as follows:

Tuesday 14th June from 12-2pm – Staff House
Launch of 5 new loan bikes for staff

  • Check out the bikes and register your interest
  • Maps and information on local cycling

Tuesday 14th June -5pm – Meet at University station plaza
Sociable and relaxed led ride open to staff, students and hospital staff

  • Almost entirely off road route along canals and cycle paths
  • Trained ride leaders
  • Food and drink stop along the way
  • Bikes can be arranged if you don’t have your own

Wednesday 15th June- from 6pm in WG5 - Aston Webb building
Screening of the critically acclaimed ‘Bicycle’ film

  • The films BAFTA award winning director Michael Clifford will be speaking from 6 about this film and his next film all about mountain biking.
  • Free entry and open to public
