Workshop: Integrating Labour and Skills into Global Value Chains

The Global Value Chains Research Group is organising an international workshop on the above theme in the Business School. An excellent response to the call for papers has produced a programme with 22 papers and has attracted researchers from a range of disciplines; focussing on a wide range of industrial sectors and countries; on-shoring and outsourcing; and the constraints and opportunities for labour in international supply chains. As well as a star-studded cast of academics, there will practitioners from Oxfam, the Ethical Trade Initiative, the International Transport Workers’ Federation and the Clean Clothes Campaign.
