Shining the spotlight on student mental health

University life can sometimes be a little overwhelming, for many different reasons.
Making new friends and settling into a new environment can take time, and then there’s also academic and financial pressures to contend with.
All this can take its toll on your mental health and wellbeing.
We don’t want any student to be held back by their mental health, and that’s why we run our Time to Talk? campaign throughout the year so you know we’re here for you, whenever you need a little help.
Today, on University Mental Health Day, we want to remind you of some of the free support you can access here at UoB to help you take care of your health and wellbeing.
Remember, it’s okay to ask for help. Whatever you're going through, big or small, you don’t need to go through it alone.
Need someone to talk to?
Our free 24/7 confidential listening and support service UBHeard is available to all students – undergraduate and postgraduate. Call, text or visit the portal to start a conversation with a mental health professional and counsellor. About UBHeard.
