"I hadn’t worked with the University before and found it was really beneficial. I would definitely like to work with the University again. I found the experience very helpful, as I am pretty much having to make all the decisions, as I work for myself. I expected the volunteering to be more practical and hands-on. So it was a surprise at first. I thought that I would see the students more often. But in fact, this programme was more professional. The students gave me more than I anticipated and acted like a consultancy.

I definitely have benefitted. Having received the action plan and event planner on Wednesday, I have been able to show this to my staff the following day, so they are able to get on with planning the event right way. It has taken a lot of pressure off me and will help to organise us. We’ve now got a plan written down describing what we want/need to do.
I’ve been given an extensive piece of work [the folder], and all of the strands of different information will now help me to prioritise, putting all that’s required in place. The courses list for training staff is fantastic. I haven’t been able to find the time to do this and so I didn’t know about them. The forms templates too. It covers all the extra bits of info I needed.
