Business continuity

Campus Services has around 950 staff with a turnover of over £59 million. The Campus Services portfolio includes the University’s 5,000-bed student residential villages, sporting facilities, retail and food outlets, Edgbaston Park Hotel & Conference Centre, and three-day nurseries. Several campus-wide services fall under the remit of Campus Services including cleaning, security and emergency planning, portering, post, transport, waste disposal and recycling.

It is therefore our responsibility to ensure that we co-ordinate the business continuity and operational resilience support for Campus Services, supporting wider relevant groups across the University in developing and implementing polices, guidance, training, and communications in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

In delivering a Business Continuity Resilience Management (BCRM) programme for Campus Services, we are able to underpin the key dependencies that support all activities. Our plan ensures the recovery and continuity of these activities are within timescales that do not expose the University to an unacceptable level of operational, financial, regulatory, or reputational risk.
