Contractors are considered visitors to campus and should therefore pay on arrival in the North East multi-storey car park. If your department is having essential or emergency works carried out, Car Parking may issue wider campus parking permits to essential working vehicles only. Private contractor vehicles will not be issued a parking permit.
If you have a contractor that you feel would be classed as Essential Services then please submit a complete signed off Sponsor Form (Word - 109Kb) to carparking@contacts.bham.ac.uk for consideration. "Essential Services Contractor” would only relate to services provided by a firm or individual under contract that supports campus-wide essential functions such as gas; water; electricity; contractors that may be relied upon for emergency call outs.
Please note: parking is chargeable to contractors and the completed sponsor form should include all relevant details requested, including VAT number.
