Common payment queries

Here are the answers to some of our most common queries about paying fees.

Ways to pay student fees

You can pay your fees in full or in instalments. View the full range of ways to pay your fees here.

Paying fees in instalments

Students at our UK campus, with a UK bank account, can apply to Pay fees by Direct Debit.

For both UK and Dubai students: If Pound Sterling (GBP) is not your home currency, and you will not be opening a UK bank account, you can make a request to pay in instalments by logging a Student Payment Query in the Finance Service Portal (bham.ac.uk).

Paying fees in full

If you pay your fees in full before receiving your invoice, you do not need to do anything additional when you receive your invoice.

Credit or transfer limit when paying fees in full

If you want to pay your fees in full, but have a credit or transfer limit, you can make multiple payments over several days. You must still make the full payment before the due date of the invoice. If your payment is late, you could incur charges.

Received a reminder letter?

If you’ve already paid your tuition or accommodation fees in full, and have received a reminder letter, send us proof of payment so we can match your payment up with your account.

To send a proof of payment, raise a Student Payment Query in the Finance Service Portal (bham.ac.uk). Fill in the form, attach your proof of payment and submit.

Request a receipt for payment

It can take up to 10 days for a payment to clear with the bank and appear on our statements. As soon as your payment clears, a receipt will automatically be sent to you.

If it’s over 10 working days from the date you made your payment and you haven’t received a receipt, raise a Student Payment Query in the Finance Service Portal (bham.ac.uk)
