Mayank spearheads his family office in a number of sectors ranging from commercial & residential real estate, payments, crypto gaming, IoT and private equity.

He is most recognised for having founded Currencies Direct in 1996, one of the UK’s first non-bank providers of FX and international payments.

Mayank grew the business rapidly with operations in the UK, Europe, India, Australia, USA and South Africa, and by 2012 it was recognised as a Global Growth Company by the World Economic Forum.

Remaining 100% debt free Currencies Direct was acquired by private equity in late 2015. Mayank retained a shareholding and was appointed Honorary President and Antony Jenkins, former CEO of Barclays Bank was appointed Chairman. Today, Currencies Direct with revenues of $140m is part of a group of companies and is the largest operator of its kind globally and is backed by leading private equity firms including Blackstone.

Outside of business Mayank is member of YPO; a Leadership Entrepreneur at the University of Birmingham and an Advisory Board member of Cranfield University School of Management.

Mayank's portfolio of recognition includes Distinguished Alumnus Award Cranfield University, Entrepreneur of the Year BT, Entrepreneur of the Year London Business Awards and listing as one of Britain's top 100 entrepreneurs by Management Today.

In 2011 Mayank was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for Services to Entrepreneurship and Finance.
