EPS Girls Walk the Wall for Charity

Description
Jenny Henderson, Met & Mat, and Dana Vasiljevic, EECE, challenged themselves to walk Hadrian's Wall in the name of charity. The 84 mile hike usually takes 6-7 days but that wasn't tough enough for these two who decided to complete the walk in just 4 days.

Bringing the underwater history of Plymouth Sound back to life

Description
Researchers, students and technical support staff within the Human Interface Technologies Team at the School of EECE are working with colleagues at to visualise the maritime heritage of Plymouth Sound. The aim of the project is to provide future students studying simulation and virtual reality with a wide area 3D environment which they can populate with interactive and information-rich 3D assets relating to maritime heritage.

Molecular physicist becomes Innsbruck Honorary Professor

Description
Dr Christopher A Mayhew, Head of Molecular Physics within the School of Physics and Astronomy, has been awarded the title of Honorary Professor at the University of Innsbruck in recognition of his international research in Molecular Physics. Mayhew was one of only three awardees in 2013.

World Academic Sports Challenge

Description
Sstudents from the College participated in a 3-day trip to Paris to participate to the World Academic Sports Challenge. The event presented an opportunity for students to network with big companies, including Disney, Schneider Electric and GDF Suez, and consisted of a day packed with sporting events against universities from seven other countries.
